Our History

In September of 2006, Gary Lawrence (Lawrence & Associates Security Consultants) developed a program for the San Diego Chargers organization to significantly reduce the amount of off field problems players were experiencing while in social settings. With 100% success Gary sought the alliance of Lorenzo Neal, San Diego Chargers and Matt Mahoney, business professional to expand the service. The three partners created a nationwide program that is unmatched and uncontested by any service or organization in the US.

This alliance produced Safe Ride Solutions a nationwide, professional, technical and highly integrated system for DUI prevention. The common link between all founders is their passion for DUI prevention and for improving the quality of life not only in their communities but the communities of our client.

Gary Lawrence, Chief Executive Officer

Gary has utilized his years of law enforcement experience to design a program that will work in the real world. Gary has worked in a variety of assignments including Patrol Officer, Vice Squad Detective, Gang Unit Detective, Narcotics Detective, Narcotics Task Force Officer, Sex Registrant Unit Detective, Criminal Investigations and Hostage Negotiator. Gary has also worked as a Security Consultant for various businesses and organizations throughout Southern California. When away from work, Gary enjoys spending time with his wife and six children.

Lorenzo Neal, Chief Information Officer

Lorenzo has been an active member of the National Football League for fourteen seasons and during this time he has experienced playoffs, a Super Bowl game, and three Pro Bowls. Lorenzo is very grateful for the NFL helping him to obtain his Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Through his years as a professional athlete, Lorenzo has experienced and seen many things off the field that are of great concern for his colleagues. Lorenzo feels drinking and driving is a major problem and alternatively leads to unwanted hardship for players, the social environment, families, and the NFL. Lorenzo feels that this program will help alleviate many of these problems.

Matt Mahoney, Chief Financial Officer

Matt has 12 years of Fortune 500, entrepreneur, financial management and quality control experience. Matt has a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Masters in Business Administration. Matt has started three successful real estate companies and has done business consulting. Matt is a proud husband and father for his two children.

Jerry Hara, Operations Director

Jerry is a detective sergeant with 15 years of law enforcement experience. He has held several jobs with his department, such as, SWAT, Community Relations, Academy Instructor, Juvenile Service Team, Investigations Supervisor, and the Air Support Unit. Jerry is committed to keeping the community safe and reducing the number of DUI incidents on our roadways. Away from work, Jerry volunteers much of his time to the National Latino Peace Officers' Association (NLPOA). He spends the rest of his time with his lovely wife and their two children.

Dan Sayasane, Personnel Director

Dan is a police officer with 13 years of law enforcement experience and has worked for several different agencies. Dan has held a variety of assignments including Courtroom Operations/Security, Detentions, Patrol, SWAT and Operations Support Unit. Dan is dedicated to public safety and believes that providing an alternative to drinking and driving will make the roadways much safer for us and our loved ones. In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, family and friends.
